2021 NFL Draft War Room: Baltimore Ravens

2021 NFL Draft

It’s another year with Lamar Jackson under center which means it’s another year of wasted time. The most irrelevant team in the NFL continues to get away with a gimmick offense that’s slowly but surely crashing to the ground. A strong roster keeps Baltimore in the playoff mix until the disaster crashes and burns. Let’s get this over with. Here’s your Baltimore Ravens 2021 NFL Draft War Room.

  • Round 1: 27th overall
  • Round 2: 58th
  • Round 3: 104th
  • Round 4: 131st
  • Round 5: 171st, 184th
  • Round 6: 210th

This is less draft capital than what the Ravens are used to working with. The Texans hiring of David Culley saved the Ravens by gifting them an extra third round pick.

We already know that no high profile wide receiver wants to play for the Ravens. It’s career suicide with that joke throwing him the football. The only way the Ravens can acquire wide receiver help is via the draft. I’m sure they will convince themselves a wide receiver is high on the priority list.

Terrace Marshall of LSU could be an option. Marshall isn’t as talented as Justin Jefferson or Ja’Marr Chase, but he was a vital part of that championship team in 2019. Even as the third guy with Joe Burrow, Marshall cashed in on 13 touchdowns and 671 yards.

Fixing the pass rush has to be on the to do list. Right now you’re banking on a breakout season from Tyus Bowser. Very possible. BUT… the other starter is an old Pernell McPhee or Jaylon Ferguson.

Joseph Ossai at Texas could be an option. Ossai has great speed and athletic traits. Ossai gets after you and probably fits what the Ravens want to do. In a thin pass rusher class, Baltimore would probably be thrilled to land him in round 2.

Keep an eye on someone like Matt Bushman at some point. With this offense, Baltimore craves tight ends that can block. The BYU tight end checks in at 274. There’s a lengthy injury history but this is someone the Ravens would gamble on.
