Sports Media
Many of us are struggling to find what to watch with no sports on. We can watch highlights and recaps, but it doesn’t do it justice. If you need a break from creating your fantasy football team or making other mock drafts, then here is a list of 12 fun sports that you can watch.
I will admit that I got into marble racing last month. You can find countless videos of different people doing marble racing with different tracks. Some people will name the marbles, and it is great entertainment. I do have to say, the one with the sports commentary is the best to watch.
If you liked rolling down hills as a child (or even as an adult) you’ll like this one. On a large hill, a small wheel of cheese is released. Many people will try to either outrun or out-roll the wheel of cheese to the bottom of the hill. There are also more spectators than you would expect.
This one to me is really impressive. I struggle to do regular ironing, so the thought of ironing while water rafting or being upside down on a rock wall is crazy. There are lots of compilations of people trying to iron while doing crazy things.
If you miss NASCAR or going to race go-carts, then this is the perfect thing to watch. These lawnmowers go faster than you think they will. This may make you want to deck out your lawnmower to race or to finish mowing the lawn quicker.
If you want an excuse to fight the people you’re quarantined with, here it is. All you need is leftover boxes for armor and large cardboard tubes. This will give you the perfect opportunity to relieve some stress.
Interested in the cardboard tube fighting league? Well here is the perfect thing to watch to get into the mood. Or if you want to be taken back to medieval times then you can watch people fight each other in armor.
Here is one for all of the Harry Potter fans. Although they are not flying around on broomsticks, they are running with sticks. This is a mix of soccer, rugby, and basketball. If you’re wondering how they bring the snitch into play- well, they use a human being. The person wears the ball in a bag and sticks it out of their shorts like flag football. They will run around the field and tackle the seeker until the ball is taken from them.
Missing basketball and the trampoline park? Well here is the perfect mix between the two. They go around playing basketball, but the ground around the hoops are trampolines. If they couldn’t dunk before, they can now.
Love kayaking and pumpkins? You can watch people kayak around in giant hollowed-out pumpkins. As funny as this is, it probably takes a lot of strength to move through the water in a giant pumpkin. I have a lot of respect for them.
Need another excuse to relieve stress? This is a mix of wrestling and pillow fighting. You can show this to the people you’re quarantined with and challenge them to a pillow fight.
This is a personal favorite of mine. As an aggressive soccer player, this is the perfect game for me. While still trying to score, you can get away with body checking people because they’re in giant bubbles. Even if you don’t enjoy soccer, you can still watch as people body check each other.
Lastly, another activity you can do with the people you’re quarantined with. If you are good at thumb wrestling and need something different, maybe give this a try. If you don’t want to, you can still watch people get serious about this.
These weren’t in any particular order, but some are funnier and more entertaining than others. If you’re bored you can give some of the 12 fun sports a try, or you can plan to do them after quarantine.
