Zach LaVine on Bulls: ‘Something isn’t working’

With Bulls season slowly collapsing, Zach LaVine has concerns on Chicago’s play

After the Bulls dropped their sixth straight game to the Milwaukee Bucks, star guard Zach LaVine has concerns with their play, according to theScore.

“I mean, something isn’t working, obviously,” LaVine said after Chicago dropped its sixth straight game following Thursday’s loss to the Bucks, according to 670 The Score’s Cody Westerlund.

The Bulls’ season has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. Injuries have loomed over their roster the entire year leading to underperformance. Most notably, point guard Lonzo Ball has been battling a gruesome knee injury since last year. He hasn’t suited up since Jan. 14, 2022, for the Bulls.

Chicago had high hopes starting this season as they came off a playoff berth in last year and were even able to string together a few win streaks behind LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.

“Even if guys are in and out of the lineup, you see some teams that have consistency with what they do,” LaVine said, via theScore. “They have an identity. I think that’s something we’re still trying to figure out in these last couple years.”

As of now, the Bulls are in a serious slump and need to get back on track if they want a shot at the playoffs. They sit at 26-33, good for 11th in the Eastern Conference standings. LaVine has made his voice known when speaking about the Bulls losing antics.

LaVine later went on to comment on the Bulls inconsistency.

“Some games, we’re really good. Some days, we’re bad,” LaVine said, via theScore. “That’s once again the consistency factor of figuring out what our identity is.”

“We’re not throwing in the towel,” LaVine said, via theScore. “I don’t think we have the type of team or personnel to do that. Obviously, losing hurts. Everybody, they’re all frustrated, but we’re coming in, doing our jobs every day. We’re the ones who are going to have to figure it out.”
