WWE SummerSlam Main Event Getting Massive Stipulation -Reports

WWE SummerSlam is one of the four major premium live events for the company. It’s the party of the summer that features the biggest names in the company. This year, SummerSlam is taking place in Detroit, Michigan. With a show this big, it needs to feature big names and bigger feuds.

Right now, one of the biggest feuds going is between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar. Well, we may have gotten information about when the rubber match is going to take place.

The Rubber Match

Per Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the third match between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar is reportedly expected to take place at WWE SummerSlam. Rhodes and Lesnar are in a feud that started on Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania.

Lesnar attacked Rhodes when the two were supposed to be teaming up together the face Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Following the initial attack, the two men seemingly fight every time they see each other. The first match took place at BackLash where Cody Rhodes got the victory.

However, Lesnar got the victory in their most recent encounter at Night of Champions. Many fans thought the third and final match was going to take place at Money in the Bank, but that’s reportedly not the case. However, not only is the third match reportedly scheduled for Summerslam, there is going to be a rare stipulation for it.

The third match between Lesnar and Rhodes is reportedly going to be a Bullrope match. A Bullrope match is pretty much how it sounds. The two competitors are bound by a bull rope that is wrapped around one wrist. You win by pinfall or submission.

The Bullrope match is a rare match stipulation that hasn’t been done in quite some time in the WWE. However, the man who made the Bullrope match famous was Dusty Rhodes, Cody’s father. So it makes sense for them to add this stipulation to the rubber match between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam
