WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch looking at 25 years in jail

Former WWE star Tammy Sytch (Sunny) could just find herself locked up for 25 years if found guilty of a felony DUI, according to TMZ.

Known as the promotion’s first-ever “Diva,” Tammy Sytch made a name for herself in the 90s as a manager and occasional wrestler. She notably spent a few years in Smoky Mountain Wrestling before jumping to WWE (then known as WWF) in 1994. Initially, she managed Chris Candido (Skip at the time), but was eventually paired with The Smocking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn), Farooq, Savio Vega and Legion of Doom 2000.

Sytch was arrested in May 2022 for her role in the accident that caused the death of 75-year-old Thomas Lasseter. According to PWInsider, the former WWE Diva is facing nine different charges, with the most serious offense being DUI Manslaughter. According to TMZ, Sytch now faces a 25-year prison sentence after pleading “not guilty” to all her charges.

Court documents also show that Tammy Sytch pleaded “no contest” to a felony charge for driving with a suspended license which caused death, four misdemeanor counts of DUI with damage to a person and two misdemeanor charges of DUI with damage to property.

At the time of her arrest, officials claimed the former WWE star had a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher. This incident wasn’t the first time she was arrested for driving under the influence.

Chris Candido’s brother claims Tammy Sytch lied about her affair with Shawn Michaels

Other than managing Chris Candido, Tammy Sytch also had a lengthy romantic relationship with the star until his death in 2005. However, it’s a well-known fact that Sytch had a relationship with The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, while they were signed to WWE. Tammy has claimed that the entanglement was only during a break with Candido, but his brother, Johnny, alleges that she’s lying.

“Yeah, that’s bullsh*t,” he said. “Yeah, yeah, there was never a break. You know, and even when they were apart, they would call each other every two seconds. Like, I’ve had conversations with, you know, family members, like, ‘When did she have time to cheat?’ Because they were together all the f**king time.”

Johnny Candido also partially blames Tammy Sytch for his brother’s passing and even entertains some of the conspiracy theories surrounding his death.

According to Candido, Sytch also abused his brother, and he believes that she ultimately ruined his life. Chris Candido’s cause of death was initially uncertain, and some believed it was due to a blood clot. However, his autopsy later confirmed his passing was due to acute pneumonia brought on by recent surgery.
