WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 Preview and Predictions

We’re taking a trip to the land down under as WWE presents its Elimination Chamber event this weekend. It’s the first time since 2018 that WWE have hosted an event of this size in Australia, and the fans in Perth are getting almost as excited as the European fans who know they don’t have to stay up until 4AM to watch it.

With only five matches on the show, let’s see if I can continue my good prediction record for 2024 after my 3-1 performance at the Royal Rumble.

My name is Sam Palmer from Vendetta Sports Media, and here is what I think will happen at this year’s Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.

The Kabuki Warriors {c} vs. Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae [WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship]

Elimination Chamber 2024 will feature the return of matches on the kick-off show, something that feels like hasn’t been done in ages. The reason for this is simple, they want to get some more Australian representation on the show and this is the perfect way to do it. Indi Hartwell wasn’t even signed to WWE when they last did an event this size in Australia, and now she will get the chance to win gold in front of her fellow countrymen and women.

However, Hartwell and LeRae (who isn’t Australian) will be taking on Kairi Sane and Asuka (also not Australian) in a match that has the chance to really deliver given the names involved. For me, it’s an easy prediction, as are a lot of the matches on the show, as I can see The Kabuki Warriors retaining their crowns, but don’t be surprised if Hartwell gets a few nail-biting near falls towards the end of the match.

PREDICTION: The Kabuki Warriors

The Judgment Day {c} vs. New Catch Republic [Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship]

Keeping the tag team ball rolling is the men’s division as we are once again presented with something of an international showcase as two Englishmen challenge the champions that are from Ireland and Puerto Rico (sort of). The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor have ruled the tag team division since October, but haven’t exactly established themselves as the all conquering champions they claim to be as they have only made four defenses since the start of their second reign.

Enter Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne, the New Catch Republic. A genuine breath of fresh air in to a tag team division that doesn’t really have anything going for it in my personal opinion. Considering how important the belts were a year ago heading into WrestleMania, I genuinely have no idea what the tag scene is going to look like in April. But what I do know is that the Judgment Day are going to walk in to WrestleMania as the champions. Bate and Dunne’s time will come in WWE, just not right now.

PREDICTION: The Judgment Day

The Grayson Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins

Personally, I’m not a fan of talk show segments on big events like this because what’s the point? If I wanted to hear Rhodes or Rollins talk, I’d watch Raw or search an interview of theirs. Putting it here just seems like it’s for the sake of having Rhodes and Rollins on the show, and considering The Rock and Roman Reigns aren’t on the show, all this achieves is giving the WWE fans the entrance pops and a bathroom break.

Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kevin Owens vs. LA Knight vs. Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton [Elimination Chamber Match]

Speaking of Rollins, who is going to be the man to challenge him at WrestleMania? This match will decide. A truly star-studded Chamber match that at one point didn’t seem like it was going to be on the show, but now that it’s here, this is my early pick for match of the night. Why? Look at the names involved. There is no chance that this doesn’t have 40,000 Australians throwing their Fosters in the air out of sheer euphoria.

As far as a prediction goes, while the match has six participants, it’s easy to see who’s winning this one. Lashley is getting over nicely but isn’t involved in the title picture, neither is Logan Paul who is the US Champion, and Kevin Owens seems more interested in that than the World Title. LA Knight’s shine is still bright, but not to the level of a few months ago, and Orton is still finding his feet in the WWE landscape. That leaves, of course, CM Punk’s number one hater, Drew McIntyre. He’s going to win, and he’s going to rub it in everyone’s face.

PREDICTION: Drew McIntyre

Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Naomi vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Tiffany Stratton [Elimination Chamber Match]

Don’t go raising that Chamber just yet as it’s the girls turn to decide who challenges for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania. Again, a star-studded line up, and one that I would actually say is more interesting than the mens on the basis that there are two very strong contenders, and four performers who weren’t even factored into this match a few months ago.

To be brutally honest, it’s either Becky Lynch or Bianca Belair winning this match. I still think Tiffany Stratton is the future of the business and is probably going to do a moonsault off the pod, which will rule, but she’s not ready for the title picture. Raquel Rodriguez is a steady hand, but won’t win. Liv Morgan is always going to get a reaction, but isn’t near the title picture either, and Naomi has the ability to get back to the top, but she still has a long way to go. That leave Belair and Lynch, and while it would be strange not involving Belair in a title match at WrestleMania, I think that’s the direction WWE are going to go. Becky Lynch is going to win, and challenge the winner of the main event.

PREDICTION: Becky Lynch

Rhea Ripley {c} vs. Nia Jax [WWE Women’s World Championship]

In your main event (I don’t know for sure if it is, but it would be cool if it was), fans get to see who Becky Lynch will challenge at WrestleMania for the WWE Women’s World Championship. Will it be Rhea Ripley, or will it be Nia Jax? This is the first time two Australian born women will be facing each other on a WWE Premium Live Event, let alone a potential main event, so history will be made regardless of where the places on the card. And to those wondering, yes, Nia Jax was born in Australia.

What won’t be a surprise is the winner, Rhea Ripley. Without question the easiest choice on the entire show because there is no way they are going to have the most over woman in WWE lose in her own country, it’s just not going to happen. As far as match quality, I think it could surprise people. Nia has drastically improved when it comes to being an imposing monster and has been built to look like a genuine threat to Ripley. I think the problem people have with not finding Jax convincing right now is because RIPLEY ISN’T LOSING, ESPECIALLY NOT IN AUSTRALIA. It’s going to be an interesting one, but Rhea is winning this one.

PREDICTION: Rhea Ripley
