WWE is the biggest professional wrestling company in the world, possessing a massive fanbase that spans globally. Their weekly shows bring in millions of viewers.
Twitch is also the leading live-streaming website in the world with over 30 million active users daily. So it makes perfect sense for these two companies to join forces finally.
This partnership is a multi-year deal that will bring some interesting media along with it. WWE will bring back its own official channel. So there will be live production events and press conferences for premium live events streaming on their Twitch channel.
Furthermore, WWE will be debuting a new show on Twitch. It is going to be a side cast of Monday Night Raw, which will take a look at behind-the-scenes content regarding in-ring action. Also, there will be a variety of hosts including WWE superstars — offering a unique look at one of the longest-running weekly television shows in history.
WWE superstars will have their Twitch accounts available as well. Many wrestlers in the company already stream, so this is a dream come true for them. Furthermore, they will offer exclusive content that will only be available on Twitch; WWE is launching its debut side cast tonight for Monday Night Raw.
Streaming has taken over the world in the last few years, so it makes sense for all sides involved. This opens even more opportunities for the company as a whole. They’ll be able to work with even more content creators now and reach an even wider audience.
