Will Travis Kelce Retire After Super Bowl LVIII?
Will Super Bowl LVIII become a Last Dance moment for Travis Kelce? Brother Jason Kelce already retired following the Eagles’ playoff first-round exit. Will Travis follow suit?
As we gear up for Super Bowl Sunday, make sure to check out all of your Kansas City Chiefs’ odds for the big game!
Kelce, 34, has nothing left to prove. If the Chiefs win next Sunday, it will have been his third Super Bowl victory. He’s also already established as one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the sport.
Add in the fact that Kelce is becoming a busier man off the field. Money is no longer an issue for Kelce. He also can ride off into the sunset with Taylor Swift. If you’re going to call it quits, getting to kick it with Taylor Swift is a damn good alternative.
The money is going to keep coming in for Kelce. He’s in more commercials than ever before. His ‘New Heights’ podcast is also incredibly successful. It also might be awkward if Jason starts saying things that he couldn’t before since he’s newly retired. Retiring would also open up time for new projects. One of them is the fact that the brothers are highly interested in revitalizing the Backyard Sports series.
2023 was also the first year since 2015 that Kelce failed to crack the 1,000 yard mark in a season. Sam LaPorta stole his spot as the top tight end in fantasy. Does Kelce want to be the old guy that sticks around too long or can he ride out on top?
Don’t take Travis Kelce for granted. Super Bowl Sunday very well might be the last time you ever see him. Cheers to one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the sport. A hell of a career for a former third round pick out of Cincinnati.
