Just ONE YEAR after the Vikings drafted Kellen Mond in the third round, he’s no longer good enough to even make the 53 man roster. Mond was cut by Minnesota today paving the way for Sean Mannion to be the backup quarterback. The real question is when will we hear an apology from Chris Simms for his asinine draft analysis about Mond?
The Mond release isn’t surprising at all. Anybody with a brain knew Mond was pretty terrible. My stock report notes reflect that thought. If that wasn’t enough, Mike Zimmer literally tried to tell everyone how terrible Mond was. Chris Simms didn’t care. Apparently, he was dumb enough to rank Mond ahead of Justin Fields.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Simms also ranked Zach Wilson ahead of Trevor Lawrence which just has a zero percent chance to come to fruition at this point. Chris Simms has proven to be one of the bigger dopes in sports media and his controversial 2021 QB rankings predictably failed. If Simms has any pride he will give himself a slap so nobody else has to.
Will Simms acknowledge he’s dumber than a homeless crack addict that itches themself all night? Will Simms acknowledge if he ate glass his IQ might go up based on it being an improvement over his football analysis? Time will tell but if he’s a real man he will bend the knee and accept he’s just not good at this.
For the record, here are my 2021 NFL Draft QB rankings. It’s way too early to tell so far on what the correct rankings are. The only thing that is clear is that if you were a big fan of Kellen Mond, you are about as clueless as it gets. Guy never had a prayer and should have been taken in the 6th or 7th round if that.
How much money is NBC paying Simms to be a dope? Must be a nice gig to be rich and still suck. Talk about a scam.
