Will Barton Silently Having One Of His Best Seasons

As the Denver Nuggets did well last year as the 2nd seed in the Western Conference. People were wondering if the Denver Nuggets could repeat that success this season. At almost halfway through the season, it is evident that this Nuggets team will be here for a while. In fact, I think they will be one of the next dynasties in the NBA. However, there’s one player that isn’t getting enough credit for his production on the Nuggets. That player is Will Barton.

Will Barton Stats

Although his stats are not exactly eye-popping, his contribution to the Nuggets is underrated on a very deep Nuggets team. He is currently averaging 15 PPG on 45.3% shooting, 3.7 APG, and 7 RPG. He does a little bit of everything for this Nuggets team. Of course, it is expected for Nikola Jokic, one of the best international players ever already, and Jamal Murray, a very underrated Point Guard, to be the focal point of the offense. However, I’m sure not many would have guessed the Will Barton is the 3rd on scoring for the Nuggets. He is also the 2nd on the team for rebounding even as an SF. He is averaging more than Mason Plumlee and Paul Milsap. Also, he is 3rd on the team for assists.

When are we going to take the Denver Nuggets seriously?

It’s clear that Will Barton is very important to the Nuggets success. While I am sure that Will Barton isn’t necessarily the best 3rd option for teams, he is definitely doing his part to help any way he can. Although, if the Nuggets want to be the clear favorite for an NBA title, upgrading their 3rd option will be crucial. Will Barton will do the best he can though as an important part of this Nuggets offense. This has been a career year for him, the question is if it will be enough?
