I said it in my OnlyFans post this year and I’ll say it again. Just go get Travis Kelce so you don’t have to worry about finding another tight end. I can’t stress enough how big of an advantage it is having Kelce on your side in fantasy. He’s the best tight end in the sport and it’s not close.
It’s Kelce and everybody else. Not sure what more needs to be said. Over the last five years, Kelce has 49 touchdowns. The next closest is Mark Andrews with 34. Last season including all pass catchers, Kelce ranked third in receptions, 8th in receiving yards, and second in touchdowns. Kelce didn’t score a single touchdown during the final six weeks of the season too. He’s that good.
I just don’t see how it changes this year. As long as Patrick Mahomes is throwing him the football, Kelce is going to put up monster numbers again. He’s also the focal point of the offense. This Chiefs offense has so many questions in terms of how to rely on at the receiver position. In reality, Kelce is their best receiver. He’s just listed as a tight end.
Because Kelce is just so much better than the rest of the players at his position, it significantly increases his value. In your auction draft, he should probably be the highest-priced pass catcher for that reason alone. He plays for the Chiefs, is the alpha of the pass catchers, and the rest of the tight ends aren’t close to him. It’s really not that hard to understand.
Travis Kelce remains TE1 until further notice.
