Notre Dame Basketball enters the 2024-25 season with an extremely positive outlook. The Fighting Irish were surprisingly competitive in Micah Shrewsberry’s first year at the helm despite a roster that didn’t appear to be anything special on paper. This year, Notre Dame returns most of the pieces from that team including star guard Markus Burton and his running mate Braden Shrewsberry. Princeton transfer Matt Allocco joins the squad and appears to be a great system fit. Considering continuity and coaching, Notre Dame should hold their own in the middle of the ACC this year. They may not be a tournament team this season, but with how Shrewsberry has been recruiting of late, an NCAA Tournament appearance in Year 3 looks to be very much on the table for the Fighting Irish.
