Look, anyone who knows me or follows The Lead Word knows I know absolutely dick about baseball but, I fucking love me some NCAA softball. That’s why this week’s Vendetta WCW is awarded to Miranda Elish.

This chick is a serious bad ass.

Last year in a playoff game she broke her face after catching a ball with her dome. Hasn’t slowed her down one bit.

Elish bounced back in a big way this season. She was named player of the week in week one. Yeah, week one. Elish went on an absolute tear, batting .818 (9-for-11), including three doubles, four home runs, a grand slam, and 17 RBIs.

Last week Elish picked up a dub pitching a complete game against former number one UCLA. The following day she pitched two shutout innings in relief against Washington to secure another win. Oh, btw, Washington was ranked number two at the time.

Bad ass.

Her efforts have UT sitting real pretty. Thanks to her Texas is now ranked number one in Softball America’s top 25.

In addition to the cannon arm, she’s a bona fide smoke show. Also fellas, as a softball player you know she knows how to work a bat (sorry but y’all knew at some point this was going to get childish).

Congrats Miranda, you earned it. Vendetta’s Woman Crush Wednesday.
