Vendetta Sports Media’s SimBull Six Week 1 Picks
Our partners at SimBull introduced a new contest called the “SimBull Six” and Karl Heiser and Adam Krieger will give you our picks each week, so here are our week 1 picks.
SimBull picks six games, three college football, and three NFL, and contestants must pick sides on the games with the spread. Each week, Karl and I will switch off who does the College Football and who does the NFL, and this week I am taking the NFL.
Iowa (+4.5) vs Iowa State (-4.5) – Karl Heiser’s Pick
Pick: Iowa (+4.5)
I was way more impressed with Iowa last week after they blew out a ranked Indiana team. Iowa State didn’t necessarily look impressive. I think the Hawkeyes are the better team and win this game outright.
Oregon (+14.5) vs Ohio State (-14.5) – Karl Heiser’s Pick
Pick: Oregon (+14.5)
Ohio State didn’t look so good against a Minnesota team everyone expected them to dispatch handily. Specifically, their defense looked like they had some work to do, and I doubt they will have it ironed out within a week. Oregon is a much better team than Minnesota, and I really don’t think Ohio State beats them by more than two touchdowns.
Washington (+7) vs Michigan (-7) – Karl Heiser’s Pick
Pick: Michigan (-7)
This line is so confusing to me. Michigan looked solid in their opening game while Washington scored 7 points and lost to Montana. Plus, the Wolverines are playing this game at home. I think they cover pretty easily
Saints (+4) vs Packers (-4) – Adam Krieger’s Pick
Pick: Packers (-4)
This year I am going to be heavy on Packers and Rodgers as he goes on his f-you tour for lack of better words. He is going to come out swinging so I’ll take them giving under a touchdown.
Bears (+7.5) vs Rams (-7.5) – Adam Krieger’s Pick
Pick: Bears (+7.5)
I really wish Justin Fields would start the season but I am all in on Chicago’s defense once again. Stafford is coming to a new system, and I am not expecting an explosive offense this early in the season.
Raiders (+4.5) vs Ravens (-4.5) – Adam Krieger’s Pick
Pick: Raiders (+4.5)
I am riding with the underdogs and my boy Alex Chick on Monday night. The Raiders always start the year hot, and especially with fans in the new stadium, I will take the home team with the points.
