Gather ’round children, the NFL week 3 betting lines are out and it’s time to give our predictions. I won’t lie, these have not been the greatest few weeks. We are approaching fade territory on my personal picks. I promise I will do better starting this week. Unfortunately, this post could not come out before Thursday Night Football, so that will have to be excluded this week.
Jackson: 13-19
Garrett: 16-16
Alex: 16-16
Matt: 16-16
Panthers: Jackson, Matt Saints: Alex, Garrett
Baker and company are due for a win (really just need a cover if I’m being honest) and I think their first comes against the Saints. Just feels like a trap game for New Orleans.
Bears: Matt Texans: Jackson, Alex, Garrett
I’m still not sure what to make of Chicago. On the other hand, neither do I with Houston. The Bears probably win a close one, meaning the Texans cover.
Chiefs: Everyone
The Colts are bad. Matt Ryan is not that guy.
Dolphins: Jackson, Alex, Garrett Bills: Matt
The Bills have looked scary these past two weeks, but the Dolphins have looked amazing as well. Tua is starting to break out and the offense isn’t anywhere close to its full potential. Miami may not win, but they will keep it close at home and cover.
Vikings: Matt Lions: Jackson, Alex, Garrett
Both teams have had their moments. Vikings win but Lions keep it close enough to cover.
Patriots: Matt Ravens: Jackson, Alex, Garrett
Feels like free money here. I don’t understand why the NFL week 3 betting lines are so close here. The Patriots offense just isn’t there to even take advantage of how bad the Ravens secondary is. Lamar Jackson feasts and gets the win.
Jets: Jackson, Garrett Bengals: Alex, Matt
I honestly don’t know what to think here. The way that both teams have played, a 6-point spread seems like a lot. Somehow Joe Flacco has turned the clock back and is slinging the ball around the field. It might be a bad idea but I will rock with the Jets to cover.
Raiders: Everyone
The Titans are just not a good team. It’s kinda sad to see how far they have fallen from last year. Not even King Henry can get the mojo going. Raiders cover.
Commanders: Garrett, Matt Eagles: Jackson, Alex
I don’t know what I am getting out of the Commanders. They can look like the worst and best team in the league in the same game. But gut tells me the Eagles somehow pull away and cover.
Chargers: Everyone
The Jags are probably division winners, but the Chargers are a much better team and will prove it on Sunday.
Cardinals: Jackson, Garrett Rams: Matt, Alex
The Rams defense has not been great to start the season. They very nearly lost to the Falcons, just something that the defending champions can’t do. Yes, the Modern Warfare 2 beta is out but Kyler Murray has nothing to gain from playing until the full game is released. Cards at a minimum cover if now win outright.
Seahawks: Garrett Falcons: Jackson, Alex, Matt
The Falcons have played decent the first weeks of the NFL season but just can’t seem to win. I think that changes this Sunday.
Bucs: Jackson, Garrett Packers: Alex, Matt
Things always seem to go Tom Brady’s way in these types of games. The Packers could be hanging in there at the end but something will happen that pushes the Bucs to cover and springboard the Bucs to a 3-0 start.
49ers: Everyone
Jimmy G is BACK (prayers for Trey Lance with all due respect) and the 49ers look like their old selves again. I don’t trust what is happening in Denver right now. Jimmy G (and the “g” stands for GETS WINS (corny I know)) and company get it done.
Giants: Jackson, Garrett Cowboys: Alex, Matt
Brian Daboll has the Giants on a roll. Danny Dimes isn’t great but someone is contributing. The Cowboys stunned the Bengals last week at home, but fall short against the Giants Sunday.
