Love it or hate it, streaming isn’t going away. The NHL already has a pretty good deal with ESPN where you can watch all of the games on ESPN+. The Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights are taking things up a level. The VGK are launching their own direct-to-consumer streaming platform called KnightTime+.
The team has a press release out that you can read here. I’ll list some of the spark notes that you need to know below.
A: On the web, KnightTime+ can be accessed at www.knighttimeplus.com. On TV, KnightTime+ can be found on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, and Roku.
B: This deal gives viewers access to 69 games during the 2023-24 NHL Season. We’ll see what happens with that as time goes on. The full-season pass costs $69.99 or fans can buy single games for $6.99 each.
C: This is an important note. Fans must be located within the team’s television territory. If you’re not in one of these states… disregard all of this (Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and certain counties in California, Nebraska and Arizona).
D: Games shown exclusively on ESPN and Turner Sports will not be able to be seen on the new platform. That’s why the number is 69 games. If you do the math, that means Vegas has 13 nationally televised games this year. A fair number for the champs, don’t you think?
If you’re a Vegas Golden Knights fan, let us know in the comments if you plan on purchasing a subscription to KnightTime+.
