UConn women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with StockX, per ESPN’s Nick DePaula. Bueckers will be “the centerpiece” for the company’s campaigns promoting women’s sports and basketball, in particular.
The sophomore point guard was the consensus national player of the year as a freshman after averaging 20 points, 5.7 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game, whilst helping lead the Huskies to the Final Four.
Bueckers has had the spotlight on her since her early years in high school. The Hopkins, Minnesota native was the No. 1 player in the Class of 2020. She has amassed more than 915,000 followers on Instagram, 341,000 followers on TikTok and 59,000 followers on Twitter.
Bueckers told ESPN that her partnership with StockX “is about equity and authenticity.”
“My partnership with StockX is about equity and authenticity. It’s about product I love and about shining a light on all the creatives that drive culture. I’m here to celebrate them and, together with StockX, invest in making sure women and women athletes are prioritized, elevated and recognized for their style and their leadership.”

StockX is a global marketplace platform devoted to buying and selling footwear, apparel and collectibles. According to ESPN, the company’s sales total reached $1.8 billion in 2020.
Deena Bahri, the chief marketing officer for StockX, said the company’s partnership with Bueckers is about providing a platform for female athletes.
“We’re committed to providing a platform for female athletes to not only showcase their personal style, interests, and values, but also to amplify their voices and connect with their communities.”

“Paige isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in and speak out for change, which is perfectly aligned with our cultural values of remaining committed to what’s right and building a legacy. We’re excited to shine a light on this rising star and to be a partner to her as she continues to drive impact both on and off the court.”

The terms of Bueckers’ deal have yet to be released, but social media insights company Opendorse estimated in March her NIL value to be worth around $382,000, per ESPN.
Although UConn is sponsored by Nike, the nature of the StockX deal will allow Bueckers to wear any and all brands off the court. In her photoshoot with the company, Bueckers dawned apparel and sneakers ranging from Nike and New Balance to the Essentials line by Adidas’ Jerry Lorenzo and even Drake’s OVO collection with Jordan Brand and Nike.
Bueckers and the No. 2 Huskies open the season on Sunday against Arkansas.
