Tyquan Thornton Absolutely Sucks And It’s Not Surprising

Bill Belichick can’t draft wide receivers. Belichick has absolutely no idea what he’s looking at when scouting receivers. We see it over and over again. Tyquan Thornton absolutely sucks and I just don’t know why anybody is surprised. Well, other than Belichick, of course, who just doesn’t have a clue how to scout receivers.

He’s been missing on receivers for 20 years now. I don’t want to go through and link all of them or we will be here for an eternity. Let’s just focus on Thornton specifically for this post because it’s crazy nobody is talking about this.

I gave the Patriots an F for their 2022 NFL Draft class. Belichick’s draft failures are the number one reason why the Patriots suck right now. I thought Thornton was pretty terrible coming out of Baylor. I didn’t even have him listed in my 2022 NFL Draft wide receiver rankings. That should tell you a lot right there. Thornton didn’t have any positive traits other than being fast, but he had absolutely no idea how to play receiver.

We’re seeing just that play out on a weekly basis. Does this route go into the Hall of Fame for the worst run ever run in the history of football?

The guy can run 4.28 all he wants. If he runs routes like this, he’s always going to suck.

Tyquan Thornton: Hard Pass Even In Dynasty Formats

During the 2023-24 NFL Season, Thornton has three receptions for 15 yards and has been healthy scratched for most of the year. The guy can’t play and it’s so obvious. I don’t know about you guys but I think we’re all set here. I think we can call this one another victory for scout Trey.

Here is the better question. Why hasn’t Belichick called me? The amount of times this guy has missed on receivers and he still hasn’t called me. I’m starting to feel offended. It’s okay, old man Belichick can stay grouchy on his way out the door when New England fires him for not being able to draft.
