Trai Turner To Miss 2023 Season With Torn Quadriceps

Mere days after signing with the New Orleans Saints, five-time Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner will miss the entire 2023 season after tearing his quadriceps, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported Friday

During Saints practice on Friday, Turner, who signed with the New Orleans Saints this week, had to be carted off the field.

The injury bug has been rampant in the first few days of training camp around the NFL. Joe Burrow (calf strain), Jalen Ramsey (meniscus) and Garrett Wilson (ankle) all went down on Thursday. Now, the bug, unfortunately, bit the Louisiana native, who was expected to provide a boost to their offensive line.

The team will sorely miss Trai Turner’s experience and leadership, and they now face the challenge of finding a suitable replacement to fill his role. Focus shifts to Turner’s recovery and hopes are high to see the nine-year veteran at full strength next season.

The Saints made significant roster moves during the offseason, addressing depth concerns, including Foster Moreau and Jamaal Williams. Veteran quarterback Derek Carr takes the helm, supported by a talented backfield led by Alvin Kamara and a solid receiving corps spearheaded by Michael Thomas and Chris Olave.

The 2023 season presents a chance for the team to prove its resilience and adaptability, aiming to contend for a playoff spot in a wonky NFC South division.

Fans rally behind the Saints’ journey. The season holds promise as they adapt and compete. Anticipation and excitement surround the team’s performance. Experienced leaders guide the way, complemented by promising youngsters. The loyal fan base eagerly cheers for success. The stage is set for a spirited and memorable season in New Orleans.
