One thing that will always stick around with Trae Young is the trade in the 2018 NBA Draft with the Dallas Mavericks. The other player in the trade is none other than another certified superstar, Luka Doncic. This 2018 draft class is already showing that it could be legendary with these two at the helm of it.
Some of y’all thought that Trae Young should have won Rookie of the Year last year. As much as I’ve grown to love Trae Young, I have to respectfully disagree. Trae Young had a polarizing second half of the year like something just clicked and he balled out for the rest of the year. However, Luka was doing what Trae was doing the whole year, instead of just half the season.
Trae Young seemed to end the season on a strong note and pick up where he left off this season. Trae Young is already averaging 34 PPG, 9 APG, and 6 RPG. Given that the season is still early, these ridiculous numbers may not stand for the whole season, but man it is impressive. To be fair, Trae did average these kinds of numbers in the second half of his rookie year. If it does this for the rest of the year, he is literally the next best thing for the NBA.
Young is already so good. That Atlanta Hawks team is building something special there. The foundation is set there, they’re going to build on it and make a dynasty out of it, I just know it. I’m happy for the Hawks, they haven’t had much basketball success in a long time. Young is going to bring Hawks basketball back and make Atlanta fans very happy. He’s a superstar and you cannot prove me otherwise. It’s only a matter of time before everyone else agrees, just remember you heard it here first.
