Tory Horton 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Tory Horton just might be a dangerous sleeper among the wide receiver class this year. We’re going to get into all of the reasons why you just might want to take the Colorado State product more seriously heading into this process. Ok, here we go. Here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on Horton!

NFL Draft Stock Report: (2024 Week 3)

Horton, 22, definitely has an injury history that’s worth diving into. That right there might be preventing some from jumping in here. I’m not a doctor, but boy, the guy looked pretty good at the Combine, all things considered. He missed the majority of the 2024 season with a knee injury. It just couldn’t have been that bad if he’s ripping off a 4.41 a few months after said injury. Add in a 37.5 vert, and I think it’s safe to assume he’s ok in the lower half.

The former CSU product checks in at just over 6-foot-2, 196, and if you’re looking for red flags, he’s not overly powerful. If you’re looking for Horton to beat people up at the line of scrimmage to create a free release, you should probably look elsewhere. Not overly strong at the catch point either.

With that said, this dude gets open. Has a route tree to where he’s going to win at the next level and his short area movement skills make me feel confident that will translate. No quicksand to his game. In and out of breaks with the movement skills you want to see. Has a baseball background too and you can see he has that tracking ability in his bag.

The native of Fresno, California, spent two years at Nevada before finishing up at CSU. Horton received plenty of playing time right away as a freshman. The transfer was more of an instance of following Jay Norvell to his next coaching destination. As I mentioned, not much to go one in 2024 with the injury stuff. BUT 2022 and 2023 were very productive years. The stock report notes at the top talk about torching the Colorado secondary, which really put him on my radar. We’re talking eight touchdown in each of those seasons while being over 1,100 yard threshold. By the way, with less than ideal QB play too.

This is one of my guys. Tory Horton is just such a good route runner, and obviously proved he can run. The knee injury may even prove to be a blessing in disguise to where he falls more than he should in the draft. I like him in the 4th-5th round range as someone who can contribute and really get open. I’m a fan of this player and you should be too.
