There are rumors that a fan favorite is potentially in danger of being replaced as the winner of this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Per a trusted source, LA Knight is no longer even being considered a front-runner for the Money in the Bank briefcase this year in London, England.
There has been no word on any other potential winner for the match, but there is still one spot remaining. With no qualifying match currently announced, this final competitor could be a surprise, and potentially the winner.
LA Knight is by far the fan favorite and front-runner going into this match. He is about as over as any professional wrestler on the planet. Unfortunately, he has not really found a proper storyline since losing to Bray Wyatt at the WWE Royal Rumble. Knight winning this match could make up for all of that and catapult him further as the main event-level talent the WWE universe already know him to be.
Regardless of who the last participant in the match is, LA Knight coming up short would be a huge disappointment.
The Money in the Bank ladder match has been historically known to catapult competitors into the main event scene. Seth Rollins won his first WWE Championship by cashing in his briefcase during the main event of WWE Wrestlemania. That was the start of what is now an already Hall of Fame career for Rollins, who is still in the middle of his prime. This year’s WWE Money in the Bank premium live event will take place at the O2 Arena in London, England.
