It’s Time To Remove GM Duties From Bill Belichick

Is Bill Belichick losing it? Belichick is the best head coach of my life. He’s not the best GM. The Patriots roster is not good. Outside of Stephon Gillmore, who are you dying to have on that roster? It’s one of the worst rosters in the NFL. Belichick hasn’t had a good draft in 5 years. Now Tom Brady is gone. It’s not that Brady left, it’s who the Patriots decided to replace him with.

Jameis Winston, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, etc. NOPE, not interested. Belichick has decided to replace Tom Brady with Brian Hoyer. Can’t make it up. Brian Hoyer will return to the Patriots for his 3rd stint with the team. Why? I have no idea.

Brian Hoyer has had one good year in his life. That was with Cleveland when he went 7-6 in 2014. His offensive coordinator was Kyle Shanahan so it makes a little more sense. Even during his best year, Hoyer completed 55 percent of his throws. There’s no way to describe Brian Hoyer as anything other than a 3rd string quarterback that probably shouldn’t be in the league.

Hoyer was never talented. Now he’s old and untalented. The former undrafted quarterback from Michigan State played a good number of snaps for the Colts this past year with Jacoby Brissett hurt. Hoyer had a 4-4 TD-INT ratio, 5.7 yards per attempt, and completed 53.8 percent of his throws. That’s not a guy that even belongs in the league. More like someone that belongs in the XFL.

This is who Belichick is replacing Tom Brady with. It looks like it’s going to be a battle between Jarrett Stidham who was bad in college or Brian Hoyer who has been nothing except awful in the NFL.

Bill Belichick can’t be this dumb. I refuse to believe this is his plan. It’s time to remove Belichick’s GM duties. The Patriots officially have the worst quarterback group in the NFL. That doesn’t even feel like it’s right when you say it.
