Guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is expected to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks, according to Mark Stein of Substack. The Mavericks made it a priority to keep Hardaway with the organization, and it appears that a deal is close. Back in June, the 29-year-old guard said this regarding his pending free agency:
“If you were to talk to anybody in this organization and anybody that’s around me, they will definitely say that I love it here.”

Hardaway has since signed a four-year, $74 million deal with the Mavericks, as first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Hardaway has become an important member of this Mavs squad and was the second-leading scorer during the 2021 playoffs for the franchise. He averaged 17 points per game in the fantastic seven game series against the Los Angeles Clippers and will certainly look to build upon the progress of last season.
The 29-year-old was included in the infamous Kristaps Porzingis trade that saw both players shipped from the Big Apple to Dallas. While Porzingis has struggled at times with the Mavericks – including a reported rift between him and the franchise’s cornerstone Luka Doncic – Hardaway has played well and was rewarded with a deal this offseason.
