Three Undervalued Fantasy Football Players Worth Trading For

The 2020 Fantasy Football season is upon us. Unless leagues are drafting in the next 48 hours, most teams are final. Every season, random players make or break teams. Here are three underappreciated players who need to be acquired immediately:

WR Marvin Jones Jr.

Kenny Golladay is the shiny new toy in Detroit. His average draft position (ADP) is six rounds ahead of Detroit’s other star receiver. That is a mistake.

Over the past three seasons, Marvin Jones has been a top-five WR in terms of touchdown receptions, during which time he’s missed enough games to account for half of a season. With Golladay commanding more attention, Jones is in line for more targets. Few receivers in the league turn more targets into TDs that Marvin Jones. His current trade value will be low because of the Golladay hype – get this guy.

Suggested trade options for Jones: Julian Edelman, Michael Gallup, Deebo Samuel, D.K. Metcalf

RB Darrel Williams

Damien Williams has opted out of the 2020 season. Deandre Washington did not make the team. That leaves Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson as the backups to Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

While CEH could end up being a three-down back, there is a world in which a backup could earn significant playing time. Darwin Thompson does not have the build to become an all-purpose back; Darrel Williams does. He will be on winning fantasy football teams’ benches.

Suggested trade options for Williams: he will be available as a free agent in most leagues. If not, secure him as a backup over the likes of Jalen Richard, Duke Johnson, or Carlos Hyde.

TE Dallas Goedert Fantasy Football

Zach Ertz is not happy with his contract. Philadelphia’s receiving options continue disappearing. Goedert broke out last season, and with all the physical attributes needed to succeed for fantasy, he’s an underrated pick-up.

The tight end’s minor thumb injury as a result of a bar fight led to his slide in fantasy drafts. Goedert will play week one against the dysfunctional Washington Football Team. He should be traded for or scooped up from waivers before his value skyrockets

Suggested trade options for Goedert: Jared Cook, Tyler Higbee, Mike Gesicki.
