I Think I’ve Lost All Respect For Russell Wilson

I Think I’ve Lost All Respect For Russell Wilson

I physically can’t remember a player I’ve ever done a 180 on more than Russell Wilson. I used to like Russell Wilson. How could you not? He was this short guy that got benched for Mike Glennon, transferred and somehow made Wisconsin fun, then stepped foot day one in Seattle and immediately turned the Seahawks into contenders. Even ended up winning a Super Bowl. Should have been two.

I don’t understand what happened. Was Wilson always really that overrated? Hard to believe considering Seattle had double digit winning seasons nine consecutive years while turning into a terrible roster. Two years ago he was 69% and 40 touchdowns. Nobody pulls off 40 touchdowns without talent even in a fluky year.

Soooo tell me what happened right now because Denver makes my eyeballs bleed right now.

I can sit here and link things for two weeks. You saw the Melvin Gordon meme. You saw Marshawn Lynch fire at Wilson. The Kyle Brandt clip was crazy. Why don’t we just share that because nothing really makes sense other than this.

We’re six games into this puppy and the Broncos are straight up screwed. Five touchdowns, three picks, 58.6%, with a 35.7 QBR. Hashtag bad at football. Sometimes the mob doesn’t lie. Maybe the money just changed Wilson and now that he’s declined, the car crashes fast.

Where does Denver go from here? All your picks are gone. The guy you hired as a head coach looks lost. I’m not sure what else you want me to say here but I can’t possibly see how Denver’s entire fan base doesn’t hate this guy at this point. We’re talking about $245 million. We’re talking this thing turning into one of the worst trades of all-time bad if Denver goes into the tank.

His teammates don’t respect him. Neither will I.

Any chance that Russell Wilson was going into the Hall of Fame is out the window if this Denver thing fails. At this point, I can’t possibly see how there is light at the end of the tunnel. He’s not the same athlete anymore and that guy isn’t ever coming back. Be careful who you pay at quarterback. Are you hearing that, Baltimore?
