The Nobu 57 Experience

The Nobu 57 Experience

Nobu is certainly a restaurant we all have heard of. It’s incredibly popular, being referenced in the mainstream media such as in the song “Rolls Royce B*tch” by 2 Chainz, in the movie “Austin Powers”, and more. The Nobu 57 experience is on the pricier side, making it a little less accessible than your average family restaurant.

Nobu is definitely a place everyone desires to visit to at least once in their life, to truly see if the hype is worth it. Keep reading if you’re debating whether to save up and spend a night dining in this luxurious environment. Spoiler alert: It’s worth it.

The Atmosphere

The Nobu I ventured to is located in New York City. It’s called “Nobu 57,” located on 57th Street. It’s a bar & lounge that serves a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines. Together, this mix creates an elaborate and intense menu. A pretty expensive one, though. On top of the menu being eclectic, the environment sure is as well.

When you first walk in, you’re greeted with a bustling and lively atmosphere. There are rows of people, either at business meetings or catching up with friends. Either way, what they have in common is the delicious Japanese and Peruvian fusion of dishes sitting at their tables, waiting to be eaten. The best spot is by the sushi bar, giving you a perfect view of the sushi masters at work.

The Tasting

Once seated, you finally get to dive into the most delicious part: The tasting. The menu is comprised of many different dishes, all with the same Japanese and Peruvian theme.

Nobu is known for its sushi, so I highly recommend ordering a few dishes. The dinner menu ranges from cold dishes to wagyu. The dishes are pretty expensive, but it’s absolutely worth it. My favorite thing to eat there is the endless options of sushi. There are tons of different kinds, each topped with a masterfully sliced piece of fresh fish on top. Each bite melts in your mouth.

If you’ve been hesitating to make a Nobu reservation, hesitate no more. Nobu is a place you should head out to the next time you’re craving sushi.
