The Celtics are on fire. They are coming. Since November 26th, the Boston Celtics are the best team in the NBA. Nobody has won more games since that day. It’s also the day that Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart were inserted into the starting lineup. It’s given the Celtics a defensive prowess and toughness. Half the league doesn’t play real defense. The Celtics on the other hand are on top of the gritty rankings. Nobody likes the mud more than Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart.
That’s the reason why I love this team. Talent, toughness, and grit. It’s designed so well. One thing would cap off this roster like a cherry on top. Markieff Morris was recently released by the Pelicans after being acquired during the trade deadline from the Wizards. Pairing Markieff with his brother Marcus just might guarantee the Celtics a trip to the Finals after all.
Marcus Morris fits any team. He has improved so much under the Celtics system. Morris is averaging 14.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists with Boston in 2018/2019. He’s also shooting 48 percent from the field including 41.3 percent from 3-point range. Morris is also a premier defender and can switch onto any player with his 6-foot-9 powerful frame.
Imagine having two of those guys. Two of those guys that have instant chemistry. Two twins
That doesn’t even include the jokes that come with it. Swapping jerseys mid game. Never knowing which Morris is which. Confusing the opponent. It’s perfect.
Markieff Morris is currently dealing with a neck injury. The Celtics are deep and he would have plenty of time to recover and learn the system. Imagine having two LeBron stoppers instead of one. I need this to happen. Minutes are tough to come by on this Celtics team but I don’t see why Marcus wouldn’t be the perfect guy to recruit his brother.
