The Beehive Restaurant: Kyuramen
Kyuramen is a classic ramen joint all around America. With locations in New York, Florida and New Jersey, Kyuramen is undoubtedly popular. They’ve recently planned to open up more locations in places like Texas and California with their new design, a beehive. The restaurant’s interior is pods stacked above one another, where customers dine in these beehive-like pods. This excellent layout brings the experience to another level, making this an amazing spot for late-night ramen with friends.
The Menu
Along with the interesting and innovative restaurant design, the menu is just as captivating. Kyuramen’s menu includes a popular dish, “omurice.” It has gained worldwide popularity for its interesting preparation and technique required.
The dish is a creamy omelet that sits on a bed of fried rice, topped with either a curry or demi-glace sauce. The omelet is cooked in a way, that when cut open, it falls and reveals a creamy center that gracefully coats the fried rice underneath. The demi-glace or curry sauce poured on top of the steaming egg creates the perfect setup for a creamy salty bite.
This dish is difficult to replicate, as it takes much skill to manage to get the egg to fall perfectly among the rice. But when done well, the meal is creamy and delicious, and an entertaining show as well. Along with the star of the show, Kyuramen serves classic tonkatsu ramen, steamed bao buns, karaage and more.
Along with its favorable menu and design, it also has interesting services to match. There is a button to alert your waiter for food, and there are separate buttons for when you want to pay as well. This completely eliminates the awkwardness of getting your waiter’s attention.
Kyuramen is the perfect place to go with your friends to have an exciting experience while devouring a delicious and unique dinner.
