Symfuhny Accused of Using Racial Slur Live on Twitch

Symfuhny was accused of using a racial slur during a live stream on Twitch.tv

Symfuhny whose real name is Mason Lanier streams Call of Duty Warzone and interacts with his chat. Symfuhny was speaking to another Twitch steamer, Myth, who was typing in his chat. Myth and Symfuhny are friends outside of the streaming world and are talking about going on a hike.

Here is the clip, doesn’t sound great for Symfuhny, but if broken down or played at a slower speed it doesn’t sound like the slur.

That has not stopped the outcry of people calling for his ban on social media. Swagg, who is a content creator signed to FaZe, quote tweeted the clip, and really got the steam going against Symfuhny.

I happen to watch Symfuhny almost every morning, and don’t think he is saying what people are accusing him of. He is a good guy (from what I know) and he has never shown an ounce of racism or malicious intent on stream before.

Myth has since defended him and denied the accusations for Symfuhny.

Even though we heard it, he didn’t say it.

I talked to Symfuhny, and he genuinely mumbled up some words man and it came out like that. If Symfuhny did slip I would be the first person to have a conversation with him as to why he should not use that word.

It seems as if it is too little too late for Symfuhny who is yet to make a statement or attempt to defend himself. I hope he does say something and try and save face a little bit. This is a serious offense that is cause for a ban on Twitch where he makes his money.
