I can’t believe I am writing about this right now. The world-famous candy brand Skittles has just collaborated with French’s Mustard to unveil a new limited edition mustard flavor Skittles, according to Food & Wine.
This has to be one of the most diabolical things that mankind has ever done. I get it, people like Skittles and mustard, but there is no reason why they need to combine with each other. Personally, I hate mustard, not sure why, but I do. But Skittles, on the other hand, what’s not to like about them?
As said before, National Mustard Day is coming around the corner on August 5th.
“From Mustard Ice Cream to last year’s viral Mustard Donuts, this year marks the fifth time French’s has gone all out with unique, flavorful innovations to celebrate National Mustard Day. With the yellow holiday landing on August 5th, we knew we had to outdo ourselves,” Valda Coryat, North America Vice President of Marketing for McCormick & Company, said. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Skittles to deliver our beloved Classic Yellow Mustard tang in a new, fun way to French’s and Skittles fans alike.”
This diabolical new combination is only out for limited edition, but that doesn’t make them easy to get to around all stores. It is being reported that the French’s “Mustard Mobile” will be cruising around three locations to hand out free packets of the new flavor. Residents of Atlanta, Washington D.C., and New York City will all be the lucky recipients to potentially receive the new Skittle.
I can only hope what French’s Mustard does next year for National Mustard Day. Who knows, they might collaborate with Coca-Cola to make a mustard-flavored soda.
Would you try the new mustard-flavored Skittle? Let us know in the comments down below.
