The SimNationals currently sit at $30.02 per share after the first week of the 2021 MLB season is over. While the Nationals have only played 6 games due to COVID-19, their record is 1-5 leading them to be overpriced on SimBull in my opinion. While Yes I am a Nationals fan and I do own SimNationals stock, their value should not have increased since the beginning of the season as they have struggled tremendously to get started this season.
The Nationals have struggled to mount much offensive firepower so far this year, a side-effect of missing pieces from the lineup, and have dropped five straight games to include three shutouts. The club’s depth is shaky at most positions as was demonstrated over the past week with the reserves playing against the Braves and Dodgers. There is a lot of risk here to making a SimNationals purchase, but then again part of the fun of investing in SimBull is taking risks.
Most of the Week 1 Power Rankings have the Nationals somewhere between 16-18 even with the exceptionally slow start. They currently have a .167 winning percentage and the worst record in Major League Baseball.
With the Nationals full roster reinstated today, the team hopes to get on track for the 2021 season, but at over 30 dollars a share, they are not a team to buy right now.
NOTE: I am not a financial advisor, I just am a baseball fan and someone who follows the stock market. I think this is good value, and shares I will buy, but again… I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING CLEARLY.
