Vendetta Sports Media has partnered with SimBull, the stock market for sports! If you are interested in buying stocks with SimBull, use the code VENDETTA for a $10 dollar bonus on your first deposit. The SimBull CFB market launched on July 1, offering shares for each of the Power Five programs. Here are the best buys from each Power Five conference.
Pitt has the fifth-cheapest share of all 14 ACC programs while being in the top six in expected win total. There’s a ton of value in just that one discrepancy between price and expected wins. They are also bringing in a top-30 recruiting class. Given that the Panthers are always good to win/lose a couple games they shouldn’t, buying into the chaos is a good play, especially at this price.
The Terps are the fifth-cheapest share in the Big Ten, and I seriously think they will be better than people give them credit for. Another year of Taulia Tagovailoa and Rakim Jarrett will be huge. If the defense gets their act together, you could be looking at a seven-win team. Plus, UMD has been a player in recruiting ever since Mike Locksley became the head coach, and they currently have the No. 18 2021 recruiting class. This could also be a good stock to hold for the future.
The Wildcats started off last season 4-0 before ending on a 5-game losing skid. The defense will likely improve, so the Wildcats might not be a bad team. I honestly think KSU will only be slightly worse than TCU next season, and TCU is priced $10 higher on the SimBull CFB market. However, I think this should only be a one-year buy in light of the risk and volatility concerns.
Cal has the twelfth-cheapest share on the entire SimBull CFB market. They also have the best incoming class of any Pac-12 team not named Oregon or USC. The Golden Bears’ schedule puts six or seven wins well in reach, so this is a really good value relative to the rest of the market. In the top-heavy Pac-12, it isn’t worth it to pay a premium for a few extra wins. SimCal-FB might be the best of the rest.
Of the 14 SEC teams, Ole Miss is tied for No. 10 in share price. I don’t see any reason why this is the case. The Ole Miss offense is going to be extremely good this upcoming season and puts them in the top half of the conference for projected wins. I like the Rebels’ ceiling under Lane Kiffin, and they have the No. 17 incoming class for 2021. There seems to be an SEC boost on the SimBull CFB market, so these shares are a little more expensive than those from other conferences, but you can still find good value here.
