SimBull 2021 CFB Full Team Breakdown: Penn State University

Welcome to Vendetta’s SimBull CFB full team breakdowns, where the writers from Vendetta Sports Media will be analyzing all the Power 5 college football programs for their share value on SimBull, and next up is Penn State University.

2020 Record: 4-5

2021 Projected Win Total: 9

On The Field:

The Penn State Nittany Lions are off to a hot 3-0 start. A win over Auburn makes Penn State investors feel like they’re pouring their money into a real football team. On paper, this is a really good football team that may have a sneaky chance to win the Big 10.

Running back Noah Cain is a former five start recruit. Wide receiver Jahan Dotson looks like a star and exposed Ohio State’s Shaun Wade a year ago. The Nittany Lions even somehow have three capable tight ends that can all play.

The defense is for real too. Joey Porter Jr. is in fact the son of the former stud pass rusher. Jaquan Brisker, Jesse Luketa, Brandon Smith, and Tariq Castro-Fields are all possible NFL guys as well on that side of the ball. This is by far the best Penn State team in a long time.

In The Market:

Penn State is currently priced at $54.06 a share. The Nittany Lions are one of the highest priced teams in the market. The positive is they are priced behind Wisconsin, a team they beat earlier in the season. A big reason to invest in Penn State.

Penn State investors should keep two things in mind. Do they really want to invest big dollars into an average quarterback like Sean Clifford? A program that really hasn’t ever had an elite quarterback. Hell… Christian Hackenberg is like the highest drafted quarterback from there in recent memory.

Two… is James Franklin a candidate for the USC job? What happens if he departs from the program? Things to consider for sure.
