Welcome to Vendetta’s SimBull CFB full team breakdowns, where the writers from Vendetta Sports Media will be analyzing all the Power 5 college football programs for their share value on SimBull and next up are the Michigan Wolverines. Check out the last breakdown here.
2020 Record: 2-4 (2-4)
2021 Projected Win Total (via Bet MGM): 7.5
On The Field
Michigan got off to a great start in 2020 beating the Minnesota Golden Gophers on the road, but lost four of their last five to end yet another disappointing season. Jim Harbaugh has yet to be able to bring the Wolverines to the college football playoffs.
Harbaugh’s squad started the 2021 season with two wins, one coming against another power-five opponent, Washington, and propelled themselves into the top 25. They likely won’t have a true challenge this season until week five when they play Wisconsin on the road. Their schedule on paper isn’t as difficult as other Big Ten opponents, so if they can pull out an upset of two along the way this team could end up in the hunt.
In The Market
The SimMichigan Wolverines are in the top half of the entire CFB market coming in at the 29th highest price. However, they are not even in the top five in terms of share price in the Big Ten. Currently, at $41.28, they have already returned a dollar this season to investors with wins.
If they go over their preseason win total and get that eight-win, that would be almost a 10% return on their share price with $4 dollars cash directly into your SimBull account. I am a little wary of investing in Harbaugh after what I have seen the last three or four seasons
