First of all, don’t ask me to say Bracketology. I tried without practicing when recording our official Vendetta Sports Media bracket and failed…miserably. But, that’s beside the point. The question is: Should Chickster do Bracketology? What I’ve noticed is that I really do like watching College Basketball and I kick myself every year for not watching it. I’ve internally committed that I will at least watch the Big East next year. Not sure why, but it’s my favorite conference and I do want to start getting into College Basketball more. Then, I started thinking, should I do Bracketology?
Honestly, I have major respect for College Basketball guys. They’re nutjobs, in a good way. Karl Heiser and Alex Cervantes are College Basketball fiends. Matt Hanifan is just a basketball fiend in general so he dabbles into College Basketball quite a bit, especially in his NBA draft coverage. Bracketology just seems like a lot of fun. I know what you are thinking, “Well, any schmuck, like Chickster, can do Bracketology” Which is true. I just want to dabble in it and see what comes of it if that’s what the public wants. This might be in the form of video content or just an article. (Maybe both?)
Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s a lot of work. You’re talking about weekly coverage on something that needs a lot of analyzing and watching games to try to give the most accurate bracket. That’s why if the public doesn’t want it, I won’t commit myself to it. Still, I think we need some more College Basketball coverage in the future, so be on the lookout for that, next season. Let me know if you think Chickster should do this. put it in the comments below!
