The SEC Bias Crowd Continues To Make The Wrong Argument

The SEC is the best conference in college football. You’re an idiot if you pretend to make any other argument. The NFL Draft doesn’t lie and the recruiting rankings don’t lie. Yet somehow, there are real humans out there that feel that need to be SEC haters. The problem with the SEC bias crowd is that they continue to make the wrong argument.

You’re going to hear it. Ohio State won the National Title so that somehow means the Big 10 is the best conference. I heard some noob say Will Howard should be a first round pick too. That’s just what happens when someone wins a championship. The Ryan Day haters are nowhere to be found today.

Here’s the reality. The SEC is the best conference in America and it’s really not a discussion. They will have the most players drafted again and continue to dominate in recruiting. If you’re not a casual, you know that already.

This is not me defending the SEC. I’m from Pennsylvania. It’s about speaking the truth. If it were up to me, the SEC wouldn’t be the only conference eating all of these schools up. The SWC would come back too along with the Pac 10. Since it’s not up to me, yeah, a conference that holds Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas, Oklahoma, Auburn, etc has the most influence on the sport. It’s the deepest conference in terms of team and player and it’s not arguable.

It all stems from recruiting. You just can’t find some of the talent on the line of scrimmage in any part of the country. It’s just the nature of the beast. The teams within the SEC footprint don’t let those players leave the area. It just is what it is. There are no easy games in that conference. On the road against Kentucky isn’t one you sleepwalk your way through and that’s about the easiest it’s going to get.

I just want the anti-SEC people to start making the right argument. I’m here to help you. If you’re a hater of the SEC, this is the real argument you should be making.

SEC teams generate the most revenue from TV deals and therefore have the most access to recruit players with NIL money. It’s a privilege to be part of the conference and therefore, you must accept the consequences of being in the conference. Those teams simply have access to landing better players so they shouldn’t complain if they lose extra games because of it.

That’s your argument. Drop the mic and walk away. Don’t try to make any other argument. Yes, the SEC schedules are outlandish and pretending SMU belongs in the playoff over the next best SEC team is a joke. But if they’re given the most resources to land players, they have to play with the cards they’re dealt. If you hate the SEC, use that argument because it’s the only one you have.
