Keep in mind as we go through this journey together today that the words you will hear from Sean Payton come from a place of impatience, ego, and lack of fortitude. Sean Payton is a moron for taking this Broncos job. He’s just really trying his best to lie to himself in the moment.
Payton had this to say about taking the Broncos’ job.
“This was the opportunity I was looking for,” the new Broncos head coach said Wednesday after reports of his hiring broke, according to Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com.
“It’s a great fan base and great tradition,” Payton said. “The ownership group is fantastic, and I love the way they competed in some of their games last year.” He added: “I tried to put ownership at the top from the beginning, and I was impressed with how much they want to be successful.”
The thing about Trey is that I never forget. Do you remember this report? The one where Payton was worried about the Broncos ownership group? I remember it. If Payton had zero concerns about this job, he would have taken it three weeks ago. The only thing that changed is Payton’s ego. He thinks he’s good enough to win with Russell Wilson. He might do better than the last guy but it won’t be enough for it to matter.
59 years old. Super Bowl winning coach. 23rd all-time in the history of the NFL in wins. He settled for this. He settled for a broken down version of Russell Wilson making way too much while in the same division as Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert. He settled for a team that just got the 5th pick in the draft but doesn’t even own that pick. Oh, and they got rid of another first and second just to go get him.
Russell Wilson is the cringiest quarterback in the league and Payton said YES!!! Pathetic.
Brain dead. No other words needed. Good luck being miserable, Sean! By Week 8 when you’re ready to pull your hair out I want you to think of me. All you had to do is wait one year and we could have won a Super Bowl together. Boomer… boomer… boomer…
