Sasha Banks Sports New Look Next To AEW Star In First Appearance Since Reported WWE Release

Sasha Banks has been in the headlines for the past couple of months. Despite not having wrestled in almost three months, it feels like every week she is trending on Twitter. She hasn’t been seen much since she and Naomi walked out of Monday Night Raw. She was photographed with an AEW Star and she was sporting a new look.

Sasha Banks Appears at C2E2

Sasha Banks and Naomi had a booth at the C2E2 event in Chicago today. She went under her real name, Mercedes Varnado, and was selling autographs and pictures for fans. The line reportedly had about one hundred people in it all wanting to see Naomi and Sasha Banks. Furthermore, Banks was selling a photo for $90 and an autograph for $70 and a picture with her and Naomi was $130.

There have been reports that Sasha Banks has requested her release and was granted it from WWE. WWE and Banks have not confirmed those reports. More recently, there have been reports that Banks and Naomi have come to an agreement with WWE to return to the company. Neither WWE, Banks nor Naomi have confirmed these reports either. So it is unclear if they have been released or are coming back to the company. Since walking out of Raw, this was Banks and Naomi’s first public appearance.

Also, Banks was sporting a new look for the event. The blue was gone, so her hair is now a gradient of red, yellow, green, and blue. Also, Banks took time to snap a photo with an AEW star, Danhausen. The photo just adds more fuel to those who believe she is going to go to AEW. With nothing being confirmed by her or WWE, it’s hard to tell what the future holds for Sasha Banks and Naomi.
