The world loves to watch young sports stars make their debuts. They love to show why they deserve to be on pro teams at such a young age. Arsenal has had their fair share of young stars on the team. On Saturday, Bukayo Saka became the youngest Arsenal academy graduate to score in Premier League.
At 18 years old, Saka has shown his worth at Arsenal. Against the Wolves on Saturday, Saka helped in the 2-0 victory for Arsenal. From a rebounded cross in the box, Saka was able to volley the ball inside the left post.
Saka came from the Arsenal academy and has molded right in to fit in with the pro team alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
He is the seventh youngest player to score for Arsenal in Premier League. The other young players include Cesc Fabregas, Gabriel Martinelli, Serge Gnabry and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Fabregas was only 16 when he scored for Arsenal in a League Cup title match against Rotherham United. However, he was a Barcelona academy graduate. So even though he is one of the youngest players to score for the club, he wasn’t an Arsenal academy graduate.
Saka will continue to show his excellent playing as he gets older. Aubameyang is also stepping up to show his worth so he can stay at Arsenal. With these two in attacking front, it might be enough to turn Arsenal’s season around.
