Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night. The first thing Kimmel decided to talk about was of course his on going contract negotiations with Seattle. Wilson is actively seeking to become the highest paid player in the NFL.

“You have made enough money for them,” host Jimmy Kimmel said. “I think it’s OK for them to pay you. You want to be the highest-paid player in football, correct?”

In response, Wilson answered: “I just want to be paid based off my play. It will all work out in the end. We’ll figure it out.”

A more interesting topic came up when asked about a possible career in baseball. Wilson had an interesting response when asked if he would consider suiting up for the Seattle Mariners if the Rangers ever traded his rights.

“I would definitely consider it”.

Of course it’s probably unlikely that Wilson ever plays in a major league baseball game but it would absolutely be interesting to see. Bo Jackson is the most known player for being able to play for both the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Royals. Then again Jackson was maybe the greatest athlete ever in professional sports so don’t get your hopes up on seeing Wilson in a Mariners jersey anytime soon.
