With Aaron Rodgers being shipped off to the Jets, the Jordan Love era has begun in Green Bay. While that has some fans and football experts worried, second-year receiver Romeo Doubs has all the confidence in the world in Love.
“I think Jordan is a really good quarterback,” he said. “When you go from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love, Aaron was a really great quarterback, but I believe Jordan can do the same exact thing. So I don’t really see what’s the big difference.”

Clearly, quite the praise to give a largely unproven quarterback up to this point. I understand having confidence in your QB, it’s something every good teammate or coach does. But on the other hand, I think it’s a bit crazy to go that far and say something that really isn’t true.
No matter what you think of Rodgers as a person, he will clearly go down as one of the best to do it. He is a surefire hall of fame and clearly is a few steps above Jordan Love.
Again, I’m not trying to bash Love; I still don’t know what to really think about him. He only has six starts and 606 yards to his name. He was solid against my Eagles in garbage time last year but he has yet to really be given a shot.
Now his time has come and we finally will get to see what Love is made of. Packers fans don’t like losing and Love has quite some shoes to fill, leading me to believe he won’t be able to live up to the unrealistic standards fans set for him.
It’s surely a lot of pressure but hey at least Romeo Doubs has confidence in him. Doubs went on to echo these desires to win and the pressure involved with playing in Green Bay.
“I see a progression,” he said “I see it going up. I don’t see the Packers going down. I only focus on our room and our team in this organization. This organization is historic, and it’s only winning. That’s all. When you hear Green Bay, it’s no losing; it’s only winning.”

Obviously, Doubs isn’t wrong in saying this. Green Bay has some very passionate fans and will let you know when you aren’t playing up to standard.
It doesn’t even seem like the Packers are very high on Love. They’ve seemed hesitant to really give him a shot and when he does play they seem afraid to have him throw the ball.
But maybe Doubs knows something that we all don’t. He does see the work more than anyone but I still can’t help but believe this is cap. Sure, maybe Love can be a solid quarterback in the NFL, but to say right now he is on the same level as Aaron Rodgers is Ludacris.
