Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley announced for Rainbow Six Siege

Roman Reigns and Rhea Ripley are on their way to Rainbow Six Siege, in the form of outfit bundles featuring their gear, it was announced Thursday.

Reigns and Ripley are both currently reigning as World Champions in WWE and are undoubtedly two major fan favorites. Additionally, both are involved in faction storylines that many peers and veterans have praised recently. Because of this, it’s not surprising to see Roman Reigns and Rhea Ripley make forrays outside of the WWE 2K games.

The official X-account of Rainbow Six Siege recently announced their latest partnership with WWE, featuring both champions. Redhammer Squad’s Oryx was featured wearing Roman Reigns’ signature red glove and sporting his Head of the Table t-shirt. Similarly, Ash is seen sporting Rhea Ripley’s entrance attire.

While a far cry from its roots, Rainbow Six Siege is the most popular iteration of the franchise and has been prominent in the industry since 2015. Despite the “Games As a Service” model employed by Ubisoft, it remains a popular video game. Adopting the cross-over model of video games like Fortnite, Roman Reigns’ debut is the second time that Ubisoft partners with WWE.

Earlier in the year, Rainbow Six Siege featured similar outfit packs for Becky Lynch and The Undertaker. In a similar announcement, a quick clip featured Blackbeard as The Phenom and Thorn as Lynch. The fan reception to these two packs was largely positive, which sets quite a high standard for Roman Reigns and Rhea Ripley to reach.

It’s currently still unclear when the pack will be available for purchase, as no release date was announced. WWE Senior Vice President of Gaming Matthew Geyer recently revealed that the company will continue to partner with other video game developers. Fans will simply have to be patient to see where Roman Reigns will appear next.
