NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will be saying his apology to Colin Kaepernick this Sunday at 7pm EST on Emmanuel Acho’s series “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man.” Earlier today Acho announced on Twitter that he’d have an announcement and this is it. Emmanuel Acho had this to say on Twitter regarding the announcement:
Commissioner of the @NFL, Roger Goodell, sits down with me to have an Uncomfortable Conversation with a Black Man. He answers the question we’ve all been wanting to ask… Part I: THIS SUNDAY 7PM. EST
Roger Goodell and Emmanuel Acho will be sitting down face to face in this episode of Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man. This is remarkable, what Emmanuel Acho is doing is simply incredible. This has been something the NFL has been avoiding for years. Emmanuel Acho will be sitting next to Roger Goodell as he gives his apology to Colin Kaepernick.
Emmanuel Acho has been making quite the name for himself recently. He’s been speaking his mind as the new Co-Host of “Speak For Yourself” and he’s been continuing his Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man series for quite some time now. The amount of dedication that Emmanuel Acho has shown is incredible, it’s impossible for Roger Goodell to not recognize and acknowledge what Acho is doing.
Roger Goodell’s apology to Colin Kaepernick is something that many people have wanted to hear. However, an apology means that something is wrong. With Roger Goodell giving an apology, this means that it is possible and very likely that there was some behind the scenes when Kaepernick couldn’t get a job. The NFL settled a collusion case with Kaepernick’s lawyers. The NFL, and almost anybody, only settles if they know they will lose or that there is a very good chance that they will lose. Regardless, it will be exciting to see this and I can’t wait until Sunday.
