RoboCop is coming to PS5 & Xbox in a new shooter

RoboCop is an iconic movie character that has become popular due to his gun skills and over-the-top violence. The character, introduced in the 1987 movie RoboCop, was a police officer who died, and then revives as a brutal robot killing machine. RoboCop is on a mission to stomp out any crime in the movie’s setting of Detroit.

This movie became a classic 80’s action movie as fans loved the comedy and high-octane action. The first RoboCop was so successful that it spawned a franchise that led to two sequels and a remake in 2014. Also, the character was in TV shows, comic books, and video games. Now, it seems RoboCop will be making another appearance, as there is a new first-person shooter that stars the character.

The game is developed by the company Teyon. In the past, Teyon has developed other video games based on movies such as Rambo: The Video Game and Terminator: Resistance. RoboCop: Rogue City looks like a fun action-packed first-person shooter. The trailer depicts a chaotic Detroit that is on the brink of anarchy as criminals run rampant throughout the city. RoboCop is seen using his elite gun skills to take out his enemies, leaving a trail of blood behind him on his path to seek justice.

The new game is coming out in June 2023. It will be hitting all platforms, as it’s getting released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. 

RoboCop in other video games

This is not this character’s first appearance in the gaming world. He has also been in multiple video games in the past. However, one of his best depictions was in the most recent Mortal Kombat game, Mortal Kombat 11. RoboCop was a perfect fit for the extremely gory and brutal fighting game.

He was also a DLC expansion character that became a fan favorite, as the character was allowed to be as violent as possible in the world of Mortal Kombat. Hopefully, the upcoming RoboCop: Rogue City will deliver a fun gaming experience and an awesome RoboCop.
