Amid Dan Snyder’s sale of the Washington Commanders, Patriots owner Robert Kraft thinks Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos would make a great owner, according to Neil Cavuto.
With all the speculation and drama around the Washington Commanders the last few years, it became increasingly obvious that Snyder would have to sell the franchise. Snyder is an awful person and there’s no need to state why. He needs to sell the team now and has made comments on selling either the whole franchise or just part of it. This has led to an ignition of conversation for potential buyers.
Bezos has hovered around as a potential candidate for ownership of the Commanders for some time. With Amazon’s sheer size as a company, and Amazon Prime televising NFL games now, he has the capital to fix the Commanders’ organization. Kraft thinks the same.
“I think Jeff is probably one of the most competent business people in the world. What he’s done, built a company like that and built the scale, and maintained quality,” Kraft said, via Neil Cavuto. “He is definitely a tremendous operator.”
Kraft continued to praise Bezos, adding that he would be a great owner.
“For those of us that are privileged to own NFL franchises, it’s the one thing I believe more than anything that builds community,” Kraft said, via Neil Cavuto. “And we need good operating people in their individual towns, and I think Jeff would be a great owner.“
Bezos has yet to bid on the Commanders with an offer, while Snyder is expecting around $7 billion for the team.
