Ric Bucher Hates Bill Simmons, Reveals Why He Stopped Appearing On His Podcast

Welcome to the club, Ric. It turns out we here at Vendetta Sports Media aren’t the only ones who have zero respect for Bill Simmons. Ric Bucher, who used to work with Simmons at ESPN, hates him too.

On the latest episode of On The Ball with Ric Bucher, he absolutely torched Simmons in the most hilarious way possible.

Transcribed via Awful Announcing:

“My former ESPN colleague, Bill Simmons, took note of the Kings’ loss to Detroit. And as Bill is wont to do, immediately threw out a trade idea, as if Mike Brown’s firing is an indication that the Sacramento Kings are ready to start over,” Bucher said. “He suggested that the Houston Rockets should be putting on a full-court press to get the Kings to deal them De’Aaron Fox.

“I’m certain it’s not the worst suggestion that Bill has ever made. Once upon a time, he, Marc Stein and I would do a regular podcast together called ‘the three-man weave’ when we were all with ESPN. It generally consisted of Bill suggesting various wild and outlandish moves and Stein and I explaining why they were either A. Not feasible, B. Not smart or C. Not feasible nor smart.”

“After Bill left ESPN, he actually invited me onto his podcast at one point. And I said, ‘I’d be happy to’ if he would also come on mine. And I never heard from him again,” Bucher said. “And that’s kind of the way it works with Bill from my experience. If you can do something for him, he is very excited to work with you. If it comes to him doing something that would be more of a benefit to you, crickets.”

None of this is surprising. I can’t imagine the amount of hours Simmons spends on the trade machine. We’re talking about a guy who tried to trade Jaylen Brown 700 times. He’ll never apologize for that though even though he’s a Celtics fan. What he does borders on perverted territory. The only thing he does is wack it to the trade machine. He’s not a smart NBA person. Never has been. Never will be. His best talent is sticking a finger up his butt while he spends 12 hours a day on the trade machine. Half the trades he suggests aren’t even allowed by the CBA, which is the most hilarious part. Something Bucher hinted at in his beautiful rant.

Please feel free to comment because I can’t understand how a single human on the planet still listens to Bill Simmons. The guy is a total clown. As Bucher stated, he’s also the type of guy who makes it all about him. If it benefits him, he’s happy. If it helps someone else, crickets. Doesn’t that tell you everything you need to know about that scumbag?
