The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns might have walked away with the victory at Summerslam, but according to reports, he suffered an injury during the match.
The Bloodline recently experienced a civil war when Jey Uso took on Roman Reigns in order to determine the new Tribal Chief. While he initially seemed to have the upper hand and the support of his twin brother Jimmy, Reigns still had dominion over the faction. However, early on in the match, Roman took a brutal spot, which made many fans cringe.
An earlier report from Wrestling Observer confirmed that Roman Reigns suffered an injury early in his match at Summerslam. Now another publication has reported the same, as Fightful Select now alleges that the same thing happened. Additionally, however, Reigns is still scheduled for this week’s WWE SmackDown.
Fightful also claimed that Reigns would not be scheduled for any televised WWE episodes for the next few months other than this week’s SmackDown. However, his injury could likely have derailed these plans as well. WWE has been unresponsive to Fightful’s attempts to get an official statement, and due to this, there’s no word on Roman Reigns’ exact injury.
Musk has been teasing an actual fight with Meta owner and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerburg. While some have questioned whether the bout will end up happening or not, Elon might be thinking of turning the proposed cage match into a wrestling match after catching wind of Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso.
Musk is a known troll, so this might just be his way of acknowledging Roman Reigns. It remains to be seen if the two social media behemoths will cross into combat sports. Most WWE fans are likely far more hyped up to see the now-niche sport be recognized by Elon Musk.
