Fightful Select has reported that former AEW star and wrestling veteran, Kylie Rae, part took in a match on WWE Main Event tonight. This news may not come as a surprise to some after the recent reports of Rae attending a tryout this past week at the WWE Performance Center. Reports say she seemed in a good mood during and after her tryout.
These reports of her appearance at WWE Main Event tonight can be confirmed by this video someone in attendance posted on Twitter. It appears Rae will be billed as Briana Ray in the WWE. The organization is famous for changing the names of successful independent stars.
Rae has wrestled for companies all over the world and been incredibly successful doing so. She was a part of AEW’s original group of signees, but she requested her release from the company in 2019.
This is just the next big-name signee under the Triple H era so far. As a wrestling fan, this a huge move for the organization. She may not be quite as well known amongst casual fans right now, but she is an incredible talent and WWE is better off for getting her.
Rae could add a much-needed boost to the SmackDown women’s division as well. With the recent WWE return of Tegan Nox, it seems things are heading in the right direction. Rae could be the perfect babyface addition to balance out the addition of Nox. Add a Charlotte Flair return, and the SmackDown women’s division just leveled up.
Ultimately, Kylie Rae is a veteran in the business and would be well respected in the locker room. An overall great addition to the WWE.
