Ranking The Five Families In The Godfather Video Game

Let’s not waste any time and get right to the rankings:

5: Corleone Family

Listen, before you come screaming at me, it’s just the truth… at least at the start of the game. You don’t even own your own compound at first. You have to steal a warehouse from the Tattaglia’s before you can even call Little Italy home again.

If we’re being really honest, how much family support are you getting in this game? You’re the one doing ALL of the work. Extorting businesses, taking down hubs/warehouses/compounds, executing rival family members, and saving the day in missions. Outside of when you do tag team missions with Sonny, you’re not getting much help outside of being able to hire crew members. I’m quite sure every family offers that. Have fun with Sonny while you can.

4: Tattaglia Family

The Tattaglia’s are scumbags that deserve what they have coming for them. The good news is they don’t put up much of a fight. If you need help taking them out, I’m here to warn you that you suck at this game. I’m not sure you even need a crew member to take them down. They may even cause more harm than good.

3: Stracci Family

Jersey is a bit tougher but you get through them just fine. Everything is all in one corner essentially. Once you find your groove in the game, you’re out here robbing banks and taking down all of their major businesses before losing all of your crew members.

More than anything, it’s just a pain in the ass to drive to New Jersey where the Stracci’s are located. Unless you’re looking to inflict pain on the Stracci’s for no reason, then they mostly avoid ricochet shots until the game essentially tells you it’s time to take them out. There are no real run-ins with them in the movie or the game in any missions until the very end.

2: Cuneo Family

The Cuneo’s are semi-challenging but nothing you can’t handle. The compound is a bit weird and can be tricky to take over. I’d recommend bribing some cops on that mission and I never normally do. They do have some interesting hit missions too. Ultimately, when they attack our compound, it’s full-on war. There is no other alternative.

EA Needs To Bring Back The Godfather Video Game

1: Barzini Family

Don’t even try sniffing around that Barzini compound until the end of the game. You will lose otherwise. Look, it’s possible but until you can high crew members, it’s borderline impossible. The Barzini’s were always number one on the hit list but real cognizes real. It takes patience to take them down.
